I’m pleased to say that I am now stocking Stuart Insch’s excellent publication.
Wargaming the Sugar Islands Campaign is an 80 page A5 glossy bound guide to the British Invasion of Martinique and Guadeloupe. It contains a detailed summary of the events on both islands, the leaders, the forces involved and the islands themselves. There is information on suitable figures, scenery and rule sets to use and loads of period maps detailing the landing areas and land fought over. I have commissioned two pen and ink drawing from Chris Gregg which sit in the centre of the book. Lastly the book also contains 6 scenarios each with a detailed colour layout and with special rules including a simple campaign and special events.
There are limited stocks so don’t miss out.
I will be attending the above show at Falkirk on the 11th May.
As usual I am offering a 10% discount on all orders placed for collection at the show when you spend £40 or more. just enter the code falkirk2019 at check out.
Remember I will not be bringing the Fife and Drum AWI range or the Hanoverians so if you want these please either pre.order or get in touch before the show.
Officially the last orders for Salute should have been in by yesterday. I’m happy o take orders until Friday but you will have to e.mail them as the voucher will no longer work and I will do the necessary here.
For the moment the Prussian musketeer is only available to pre.order. I’ve decided the stock I have doesn’t meet my expectations, some of the detail is quite shallow and needs to be sharper, I think this is due to the process of resin print, mould, and then new moulds for metal so Dan is going to redo the equipment on the figure and all should be good and a Fusilier will be coming.
Finally from the 26th March until Salute I shall be in America so will not have access to the shop e.mails. If you need me for anything get me on firstname.lastname@example.org
In conjunction with the forthcoming publication Seven Years War Skirmish Actions by Charles Grant I am pleased to announce more of the figures to support this book are now available.
Designed to be suitable as Prussians or Hessians for the period and designed by Dan from Digital Sculpts -http://digitalsculpt.se/ these are the first of the figures designed through 3D sculpting and printed in resin before being cast in metal.
More to come
Although I still have to take photos ( hopefully tomorrow) I have added the first releases for the skirmish actions of the Seven Years War.
First releases are the Von Luckner Hussars and the mounted Freytag Jaegers. I have condensed made the WAS category now WAS and SYW and that’s where you will find the releases.
Once I have a list of actions and oob the intention will be to offer the ‘Action packs’ at a discounted price.
I am attending Salute this year and starting from today there is a pre.order offer for figures to be collected at the show. The discount excludes all unit and brigade packs.
Spend £50 or more and enter salute2019 in the coupon section at checkout.
The offer closes on the 19th March – I’m in America the week before the show so this will give me time to get orders sorted
Any problems just e.mail
I’m pleased to announce the house move is completed and I’m just about sorted, a little behind schedule but all outstanding orders should be completed by tomorrow.
The announcement re the new releases will happen later in the week.
For those that have seen the facebook page or my blog you will have picked up that we should be moving on the 18th January. This will mean a slight disruption to service. I will not have access to my PC and hence e.mails from the 16th until the 19th.
In addition any orders received will not be processed until the 25th by which time I anticipate being back to normal ( hopefully).
The new address for CrannTara will be 96. Churchill Drive, Marske by the Sea, TS11 6BE.
Thanks for your patience and around the 25th some more new figures will be announced as well.
I am pleased to announce that the Saxon Rapid fire cannon has arrived from Griffin.
This is the first of what I hope to be a series of artillery pieces, designed by Griffin through 3d technology I’m really pleased with the results.
These new pieces will be listed under the respective armies rather than under the ‘Minden’ equipment
range. Sorry the crew shown are French .
Christian Rogge and Dr. Stephen Summerfield helped greatly with the technical information
A quick thanks for all the pre.orders for the new Saxon figures. They have sold well. I am up to date now with all outstanding orders and next week I shall be away until the 18th visiting my son in Chicago and as good as my wife is packing toy soldiers is not high on her agenda 🙂
When I return the Saxon packs will be added to the store. I also have two new projects in the pipeline both of which I am extremely excited about and I shall announce them before Christmas. I am also hopeful that Andy will be on with the second wave of Saxons before too long. His wife has been seriously ill and quite rightly he has taken some time out to care for her.
Watch this space for some exciting news.
