It’s with great sadness that we have to report the death of Graham Cummings.  As you all know Graham was the mastermind and originator of this superb range of figures and it’s an honour to continue with his legacy.

Crann Tara is now part of  Caliver Books/Partizan Press/ Matchlock Miniatures & Minifigs . Graham has done a cracking job in developing a successful range… in fact too successful as it had grown busier than he wanted in his retirement. The moulds are in the hands of some of the most experienced casters in the hobby and will be now be made in house to ensure a continual supply.

The figures on this site will also be listed on www.miniaturefigurines.co.uk  to allow for combinations of orders across the many ranges we produce

Crann Tara Miniatures has a new owner

You will all be aware from previous newsletters that the success of Crann Tara has brought with it it’s own problems for me, mainly the increasing demands on my time and also the ability to keep creating new product.

Dave Ryan the owner of Caliver Books ( https://www.caliverbooks.com) came to the rescue  with an offer to buy the business and continue to take it forward, so as from the 1st July Dave/Caliver will take over the running of Crann Tara.

All orders up to the 30th will be processed by me and I ask ( if you can ) that you don’t place any orders today (30th June) as a lot of work has to take place to prepare for the transition.

All my stock and moulds will be delivered to Caliver in the meantime continue to place orders as normal from the 1st July and keep your eyes open as I know there are a lot of new releases coming very soon.

It has been 9 years since Crann Tara was created and it feels a bit like your child leaving home and the journey with many of you has been a good one. Thankyou for all your support and helping me develop this dream.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch

I’m pleased to say that I’ve reached an agreement with Igor Karpov (Ratnik Miniatures) to cast his excellent 18th Century civilians in metal. Igor is casting and selling the figures in resin but we both agreed a metal alternative would be a good idea.

The first set of 10 figures are on their way to me, so I’m guessing end of July when Griffin have worked their magic and they’re available .The figures can be seen here https://cranntaraminiatures.blogspot.com/

They will be sold as complete sets of 10 figures. Once I have the first set they will be available to pre.order whilst Griffin are making the mould.

The bad news is that all the indications are that I may have to put prices up, metal prices are increasing significantly, any increase will be held to an absolute minimum and as always I will seek to offset as best I can through more deals etc. I haven’t worked out the increases as yet but I will post here and through the newsletter once finalised.

Keep safe

I have updated the Flags of War stock levels and revised codes where appropriate and added all the new codes.

There’s a couple of items I’m still out of stock but these will be ordered shortly.

Also I have started to stock the Flags for the French army, the first 20 codes are listed under the French Army. Unfortunately it also means the prices have gone up as Iain has also raised the prices to £3.00 a sheet.

I do have a number of the older generic Jacobite sheets left over so anyone who orders a clan pack will also get a random sheet for free until the old stock has gone.

Keep safe …..
